History

Intelligent, passionate, generous and curious, with a desire for innovation - this sums up “Mr. Dino”, as he was called by everyone. A true gentleman, who was led by his passion for work and founded Relco in 1967. Giuseppe Pisati, with the help and support of this wife Ernestina Donizetti, started off in the world of electrical engineering in lighting applications, in a small workshop in viale Lombardia, Milan, where together with a few collaborators the first dimmers were assembled.

The Future

Giuseppe Pisati founded Relco in 1967, which has now become RELCO GROUP, and today, his son Angelo Giuliano Pisati is Chairman. The entrepreneurial ability is noted in the ambitious project aimed at transforming a small structure into a successful enterprise. Thanks to his determination and the help of his collaborators, the brand took on global significance in the lighting technology, adjustment and controls sector.

In 2000, the L.C. Relco Group inaugurated the new 15,000 sqm Buccinasco premises, home to the research and design headquarters, sales offices and logistics department. The high engineering and design capacity, modern factories and accurate quality control guarantee product reliability. Today the Relco Group is renown throughout Italy thanks to a capillary and extended sales network that allows the company to operate in 40 countries spread in 5 continents, present in the largest distributors of electrical material and OEMs. In 2004, Leonardo Luce Italia joined the group, with lamps and lighting fixtures. Founded in 2003, Leonardo Luce Italia offers easy installation and excellent quality systems with rapid delivery times.
In 2006, Leuci, a historical manufacturing company of light sources, was purchased and merged with the range of electronic ballasts offered by Relco, Leonardo and Segno. Today the Company stands out amongst the most important companies in the sector for its innovation and variety, in particular in the LED lighting and energy saving fields. Today it offers both indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures and has established itself worldwide for product reliability and quality.

The Group’s mission is to act as a global supplier in the lighting industry and offer a vast and complete range with approximately 6000 items in the catalogue, thereby providing: quality, design and innovation. Relco Group is committed to ensure its products satisfy the qualitative and safety standards.

The organisation and production

The Buccinasco premises consists of the research and design headquarters, the sales offices and logistics department and covers over 30,000 sqm. The Group, with a 90 million turnover, has 1000 employees, 200 million units produced, 5 factories and 50 technicians specialised in quality control and research. Relco Group is a well-established Italian company present on the market with a comprehensive product offering that ranges from electronic components, HID and low voltage ballasts, fluorescent lamps and LEDs, transformers, emergency systems, light control systems, household and similar systems to finished lighting fixtures, industrial, public lighting and design products. Relco Group does not limit itself to assembling the product but designs and manufactures the components within its establishments. In 2005, the Group expanded and opened branches in Germany, France, England, Spain, Denmark and India and factories in Italy, Tunisia and China and is commercially present in 74 Countries. These figures, combined with the passion, creativity and know-how, narrate an all-Italian and positive story about the Group.
